Working Bibliography on Online Reverse Auction Bidding is created as a part of the research project titled "Online Reverse Auction Bidding for Construction Contractors and Subcontractors." The principal project investigators are Yilmaz H. Karasulu, PhD and James H. Gill, Jr., JD, AIC.
The project was structured as a two-phase study executed over two years (2004-06). Phase I of the project included the collection of existing data, information, and documentation on online reverse auction bidding method. As a part of the first phase, a working bibliography on online reverse auctions was prepared and deployed online in 2004, open to contributions for data, experiences and comments. Phase II of the project consisted of impact analysis of OLRA in various areas of the construction system.
The initial bibliography is compiled primarily by searching through scientific index/ databases and web search engines. A second layer search is also conducted for cited and referenced materials. The current bibliography contains over 300 documents and the items are hyperlinked to the original document, abstract and/or the publisher's web pages.
This research project is supported by several industry/professional organizations.
